Much more than just a

RESTAURANT

La Casa del Mendrugo is located in a large historic building in the downtown district of Puebla, once part of Saint Jerome Jesuit College, and named, according to historians, after the “mendrugos” (crumpets or alms) that the parishioners donated to the Jesuits for their support.

The gastronomic fusion perfectly integrates the dishes from the traditional cuisine of Puebla, such as Mole Poblano, Pipián and the delicious Chalupas, with specialties of Spanish cuisine, such as Paella, Iberian Ham and Tapas.

We also have a wide variety of meat dishes, as well as fresh salads. Do not miss the traditional Mexican dishes such as Chiles en Nogada, Huaxmole or Mole de Caderas.

The best pairings are provided from our fine collection of red and white wine, rosé and cava, not to mention of La Casa del Mendrugo’s selection of craft beers: Triguera, Ambar, Porter and Indian Pale Ale, which will satisfy the most demanding palates.

We invite you to a legendary dining experience which you can enjoy while surrounded by 3,500 years of history… located within the Monument Zone of the Historical Center of the city of Puebla, Mexico.
